Painting the Animals - Day 2

We talked about paint and colours, and mixed our own colours with the artist palette. The children thought about their drawings of animals and what colours they needed to mix to make their creatures come to life.

Working with their buddies they slowly started to paint. Some used First Nation art as inspiration and others used imagination. Together they started to fill in the wood panel.

Really great colour mixing! These reptiles and snakes started to pop off the wood!

It was so nice to see everyone interested and engaged in their animal paintings. Then we had to let them dry until the next week when we did the final touches.

I really love how they used so many colours, yet they didn't lose the animals that they were painting.

These three worked super together and came up with this mythical dragon and even painted the background and clouds.
I see a whole bunch of animals in these paintings. Quack! Good Job everyone!
